Online Newspaper Sources

With your State Library Card, you can search for newspaper articles online from one of these sources:

New York Times
Full articles from the New York Times (1980-current).
Available on site AND to all North Carolinians anywhere through NC LIVE (with local library card).
US Newsstream
News content from many national and international newspapers, newswires and selected news magazines.
Available on site AND to all North Carolinians anywhere through NC LIVE (with local library card).
Wall Street Journal
Full articles from the Wall Street Journal (1981-current).
Available on site AND to all North Carolinians anywhere through NC LIVE (with local library card).

To access online subscription resources with your State Library Card, you can click one of the links above, or go to https://statelibrary.ncdcr.gov/ghl/resources/online to choose a resource.

Once you select and click on your resource:

If asked to confirm your library, choose State Library of North Carolina from the dropdown list.
Type your 14-digit State Library Card barcode number in the library card number box.
Click Submit and begin your search!
