The North Carolina Department of Agriculture created the Agricultural Statistics Division in 1919, which brings together current and historic data relating to North Carolina agriculture. This data is published at state and county level for use by farmers, economists, government agencies and the general public.
North Carolina Commercial Fruit Inventory Survey
This publication contains information about each kind of commercial fruit grown in North Carolina. It includes the top five varieties for each fruit, as well as price and acreage information.
North Carolina Agricultural Water Use Survey
This report contains graphs and statistics on water use across the state, including breakdowns by county, month and day that provide how much water is being used for what sector of agriculture. Last report was issued in 2018.
Agricultural Chemical Use Estimates Survey
The estimates for chemical use on crops in North Carolina are part of a series of chemical use data collected by the USDA, the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), and the North Carolina Field Office. Information is collected from the Agricultural Resource Managements Survey (ARMS) and each year a different crop was introduced to the data series. Last report was 2013.
NCDA & CS Plant Industry Division Annual Report
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture's Plant Industry division protects the state's agriculture and natural plants from insects, diseases and noxious weeds. The annual report contains statistics and information on the various programs of the division. Last annual report issued was 2019.

Annual Report of the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station
North Carolina opened the nation’s second Agricultural Experimental Station in 1877. This station conducted research on tobacco, cotton, rice and pea crops as well as fertilizer, soil properties, insect control and poultry science.
Biennial Report of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture was formed in 1877. These reports contain information and statistics on the operations of each of the divisions within the state's Department of Agriculture.
This report contains statistics on crop acreage, yield and production, as well as chicken eggs, chicks hatched, milk production and livestock slaughter.
Previously known as North Carolina Weather & Crops report, this set of documents is published weekly and provides statistics on weather over the past week, including soil moisture level, average temperatures, rain, and whether or not field work was suspended. It also gives crop progress, condition, a drought monitor and precipitation summaries.
