Farming and agriculture have been an important part of North Carolina’s economy throughout its history. Today, North Carolina’s agriculture industry, including food, fiber and forestry, contributes around $76 billion to the state’s economy. This guide, while in no way comprehensive, is a compilation of resources for those interested in the industry, history and culture of North Carolina agriculture. It also provides a list of important reports and statistical publications pertaining to North Carolina’s agricultural industry, in print and digital formats.
