On September 29, 2024, the President of the United States granted Governor Roy Cooper's request for a Federal Major Disaster Declaration, allowing FEMA to immediately respond to the local needs of those affected by Hurricane Helene. This guide contains resources to assist North Carolina citizens, libraries, and others impacted by the devastation of Helene.
